Ċittadella Turns Pink To Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

The Cittadella in Gozo was lit in pink last night as part of the nationwide Pink October Movember Malta campaign.
This ten-week initiative across October and November raises awareness of breast, cervical, ovarian, testicular, and prostate cancers. It also promotes healthy living, mental wellbeing, and the early detection of symptoms.

This year, the campaign in Gozo focuses on raising funds for an Oncology Services Mobile Unit, which will bring cancer care closer to residents.
The Marigold Foundation, leading the initiative, collaborated with the Ministry for Gozo to illuminate the iconic landmark.
Speakers at the event included Michelle Muscat, Chair of The Marigold Foundation, Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, and H.E. Mgr Dr Joe Vella Gauci, Malta’s Ambassador and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO.

They highlighted the importance of early detection and community support in fighting cancer.
The Cittadella will remain pink until 8 November, culminating in the Grand Gozo Gala, serving as a reminder for everyone to stay vigilant and support the cause.
