Chelsea’s parents charged into the villa to hug her, with her mother instantly becoming the episode’s highlight.

After an emotional moment where her parents and friend expressed how proud they are of her, Chelsea’s mum wasted no time in jumping into the villa pool and enjoy her brief stay on Love Island Malta.

She quickly got into a pillow fight and filled the poolside with her infectious laughter. And the audience too felt her positivity, commenting on just how lovable she is.

Courier Drives On Opposite Lane to Avoid Slow Truck

A video sent to MaltaDaily shows a courier driving onto the opposite lane to avoid a slow moving truck.

The motorist is barely missed by an oncoming car driving in its proper lane, averting a potentially fatal road accident.

This comes as many call for more traffic policing being carried out on Maltese roads given the worrying increase in road accidents and fatalities on our roads.

In the first quarter of 2023, the amount of reported traffic accidents reached 3,822, which is an increase of 6.3% over the same 2022 period.

Road traffic casualties increased by 13.3% to 367, with 96 persons grievously injured. Four of these accidents proved fatal.

Gozitan Accent Adored By Love Island Malta Viewers

During yesterday’s episode of Love Island Malta, which saw the parents of the remaining contestants enter the villa to meet with their children and their partners for a few minutes, the Gozitan accent became a show highlight when Marie Christine spoke to her parents.

The reunion between daughter and parents got to place the Gozitan accent on national television for many viewers who may have not heard it before.

Apart from their loving and caring nature, the parents talked to Marie Christine about her relationship with Kyle and made sure that all was well with the pair.

Marie funnily told her parents after their private chat to switch back to a Maltese accent when they were re-joining the group.

Another clip showed Kyle and Marie Christine together wherein the former said that he absolutely loved her mother, sending Marie Christine into a giggle.

One of Malta’s most recognisable television characters, Gawdenz Bilocca, made a return to Maltese television on Ron Briffa’s talk show RonDeVu.

Bilocca, portrayed by Fabian Scerri de Carlo, made an instant hit, with his catchphrases and iconic laugh seeping into Maltese culture.
