Cardinal Grech’s Parents Celebrate 70 Years Of Marriage

Ġorġ and Stella Grech, the parents of Cardinal Mario Grech, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
The parish priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Gozo presented them with a religious image of Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu, as a gesture of prayer that she would continue to watch over them and bless them with more years together in marriage.
During a Solemn Pontifical Mass led by His Eminence Cardinal Mario Grech, marking the 40th anniversary of the Coronation of Our Lady, the Cardinal also blessed a statue of Saint Joseph, following months of extensive restoration.
After the Mass, the parish priest invited the congregation to join the Grech couple on the church steps for more celebrations.
