Cannabis, Ecstasy & Cocaine Found During St Julian’s Arrest

A 28 year old man from Senegal was arrested yesterday evening after he was found to be in possession of various types of drugs during a St Julian’s inspection.

At around 1900hrs, two offers were conducting a routine inspection in Triq San Ġorġ when they noticed a person acting suspiciously.

He was stopped by police and arrested, with a search on his person being conducted. Around 8 sachets of drugs suspected to be cocaine and a pill suspected to be ecstasy were found in his trouser’s pockets.

Further searches into a bag he was carrying yielded money in cash as well as other substances ready for trafficking.

These included around 50 packets of cannabis and 105 pills suspected to be ecstasy.

An inquiry has been opened as investigations continue.
