Call For Help For Family Whose Sliema House Damaged In Fire

A fire late last night severely damaged the Sliema home of the Vella family, leaving them without electricity, water or basic appliances.

Photos shared to social media shows most of their furniture and personal belongings burned and destroyed, with significant structural repairs, including new ceilings, needed.

In a Facebook post, Vigar Brian JP said the family is compiling a list of urgent needs and is appealing to the public for assistance.

They are requesting both material donations and professional help to restore their home.

Immediate requirements include a lifter and skip, plumbing and electrical services, construction work, and essential appliances such as a fridge and washing machine.

The appeal encourages any form of support, whether financial or in-kind, to help the family recover from the incident.

Civil Protection addressed the flames yesterday, reporting that no injuries were reported.
