Two prison guards charged with involuntary homicide of Kim Borg Nicolas Virtu

Two prison guards charged with involuntary homicide of Kim Borg Nicolas Virtu

Two women, aged 41 and 52, have been charged with the involuntary homicide of Corradino Correctional Facility inmate Kim Borg Nicolas Virtu.

The two pleaded not guilty and were charged after the magisterial inquiry, only hours after another Corradino inmate committed suicide and director Alex Dalli voluntarily suspended himself from his position.

Borg Nicolas Virtu was found in her cell, unconscious, on June 16, dying three weeks later despite the prison’s claims that she was not suicidal. The claims have since been dismissed by the victim’s father, telling Times of Malta that his daughter had been “pushed to the bring” after the prison employees “broke her to pieces and shredded her to bits.”

The two women could receive up to four years in prison and the victim’s father looks to file a constitutional case against the state and director.

The next sitting is set for January 13.

Nov 10 2021 Share

Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has officially confirmed the return of the show for a second exciting season.

Speaking with AP Entertainment, the creator and writer stated that there had been so much pressure, demand and love for a second season that he felt like he had no choice.

Not much was given in terms of plot details, but he did reveal that he is currently in the planning process. He said that it’s too early to say when and how it’s all going to happen.

He did promise however that ‘Gi-hun will come back, and he’ll do something for the world.’ A second season may also focus on the masked Frontman as well as the police’s role.

The show became Netflix’s most viewed series ever, offering viewers a fresh take and violent spin to a pop culture concept. We’ll see how the Squid Game universe pans out and we’ll hopefully get what made season 1 so special.

First patient in the world diagnosed as suffering from ‘climate change’

First patient in the world diagnosed as suffering from ‘climate change’
Nov 10 2021 Share

A Canadian seventy-year-old woman has become the first patient in the world to be suffering from ‘climate change’.

Doctors are saying that heatwaves and poor air quality were responsible for the patient’s worsening conditions. Dr Kyle Merritt examined the senior citizen who suffered from asthma when they arrived at the emergency department in Nelson, British Colombia.

Dr Merritt was prompted to make his first climate change clinical diagnosis, telling Glacier Media that ‘if we’re not looking at the underlying cause, and we’re just treating the symptoms, we’re just gonna keep falling further and further behind.’

The patient was treated during the hottest heatwave in Canadian history last June, when temperatures reached a whopping 49.5 degrees Celsius, killing almost 500 people.

This is worrying considering Canada is known for harsh winters, not heat waves.

The doctor is hoping that other physicians would see such a diagnosis and consider cutting a straighter line between health and climate change. According to WHO, climate change will kill 250,000 people annually between 2030 and 2050.
