At Auberge de Castille, Prime Minister Robert Abela told the Chamber of Commerce that Malta’s strong economic performance allows for a Budget focused on long-term, sustainable growth.

Dr Abela highlighted that Malta is attracting investment in sectors driven by innovation, digitalisation, and sustainability, while traditional industries such as financial services and tourism continue to grow. He also noted that foreign direct investment has risen significantly in recent years, doubling the number of jobs created.

The Prime Minister stressed the Government’s commitment to supporting enterprises through public entities like Malta Enterprise, ensuring a level playing field for businesses, both locally and at European level.
