This facility, which recently welcomed its first elderly residents, boasts 120 rooms spread across four floors and is built to the highest standards, featuring spacious areas for resident comfort.

During his inauguration speech, Prime Minister Abela highlighted the site’s potential for various projects but underscored the government’s decision to establish it as a dedicated residence for Gozitan seniors, in collaboration with the Church and private sector. Ħal Far Operators Relocated As Part Of Car Track Project
Apr 11 2024 Share

Two operators in the Ħal Far industrial zone, Attrans and White Brothers, are undergoing relocation as part of the car track project. Minister for Education, Sports, Youth, Research, and Innovation Clifton Grima, along with Minister for the Economy, Investment, and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, recently visited the site where these two operators will be relocated following the termination of their lease by INDIS.

This site, spanning approximately 27,000 square meters, is critical for both companies operating in the transport and logistics sector, making it essential that their new location remains within the same area.

This relocation process ensures a seamless transition for both operators. Minister Clifton Grima emphasized the collaborative effort with various entities.

“The work on the car track is progressing smoothly, and to ensure that we achieve our goals, it is crucial that we work with other important contributors. Among these are individuals who have land that needs to be transferred to SportMalta for the development of the track circuit.

This land is therefore an integral part of what will become the Sports Complex for those who are passionate about this sport in our country.” Minister Silvio Schembri thanked INDIS for leading this relocation.

“This project underscores the importance of the car track project, as well as that of private operators. With INDIS’s involvement, we are closer to realizing the dream of the track, and at the same time, we ensure that the operators being relocated experience as little inconvenience as possible, allowing their operations to continue smoothly during the transition.”

The process involved approximately 1,500 truckloads of earthworks, costing around €1.5 million.
