Footage which has resurfaced from nine months ago, and shared by @newsbook.com.mt, shows a construction incident which could have easily killed a terrified mother and her two children.
Charmaine, the mother, exits the building after material from the scaffolding collapses onto her house’s facade. Charmaine can be heard telling the workers how this could have easily killed her and her children.

She revealed to Newsbook that construction work resumed as if nothing had happened, expressing how they are afraid to stay inside the house but also to go outside.
“We’re scared of every sound we hear, and I think there are a lot of people like me, especially mothers trying to raise children, young children next to buildings like this.”
This comes after Jean Paul Sofia’s mother Isabelle Bonnici’s pressure, along with activists, changed the government’s decision to lead a magisterial inquiry into the death of her son, who died in a building collapse.
