Birkirkara and Hibernians Set for FA Trophy Final Showdown

Birkirkara FC and Hibernians FC are set to clash this Sunday in the highly anticipated final of the 85th Meridianbet FA Trophy.
The showdown, taking place at the National Stadium on 18th May with kick-off at 18:30, promises a thrilling encounter between two of Malta’s most historic clubs.

Ahead of the final, a press conference was held at Centenary Hall, featuring Malta FA Vice President Dr Matthew Paris, Meridianbet’s Byron Falzon, and representatives from both clubs.
Both coaches expressed determination to end their campaigns on a high. Birkirkara’s Stefano De Angelis highlighted his squad’s mental resilience despite injury setbacks, while captain Alexander Satariano said the team is eager to bounce back from recent disappointment.
Hibernians coach Branko Nisevic stressed the importance of the final, with a potential UEFA Conference League spot at stake. Captain Bjorn Kristensen emphasised the team’s desire to repay loyal supporters with silverware.
