Ben Camille and wife Xtina Camilleri have officially welcomed their third child into the world.

The presenter and his wife, real name Kristina, are already the proud parents of Elle and George, who will officially be joined by their new sibling, Jamie!

The parents posted to social media to reveal the newborn and its the most touching thing ever. The couple thanked the ‘exceptional midwives at Mater Dei. You are all truly one of a kind’, thanking a particular midwife named Lorita.

According to a Eurostat survey, internet usage in Malta was 1.6% higher than the EU average in 2022. However, the survey also revealed some interesting findings about internet usage in Malta.

While internet usage in Malta is higher than the EU average, there is still a significant digital divide between generations. The Eurostat survey revealed that men in Malta use the internet more than women do. This however is only by a very small margin.

During the past year, the Maltese Islands saw 161,753 online food orders, while 146,414 online clothing purchases were recorded. It is interesting to point out that around 70,000 computers, tablets, phones, and accessories were purchased online in Malta during 2022. This trend highlights the growing importance of e-commerce in Malta’s economy.

The Eurostat survey also shows that 121,509 film or series streaming services such as Netflix were bought during 2022, while 70,125 people signed up for music streaming services such as Spotify. This highlights the growing trend of online media consumption in Malta.

Two storey renovation for Ġan Franġisk Abela inaugurated

Two storeys in the Ġan Franġisk Abela College were renovated and improved and will now be completely dedicated to students who go beyond from the curriculum of the college.

The two storeys bring together services for guidance, administrative services, health and safety offices, international offices, a Chaplin’s office, small group education spaces as well as spaces for activities and meetings.

Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima said that this is not just a complete innovation for the buildings but a direct investment into students.

The Minister explained how the college is an educational institution which is offering the best quality education.

It is also however offering ancillary services which ‘are so important for students to help them in their educational life on campus and to offer them help whenever they need.’

All of the services on offer are given by professionals and educators who boast great experience in their respective fields.

The college’s principal, Paul Xuereb, explained that it is important that a modern and more efficient take should be given to these services. ‘This is only a massive step because all of these services will be given in a more adequate environment which respects the needs of today.’

The inauguration was done on the eve of the College’s Open Day, during which the prospective students are invited to attend to gather information about their post-secondary place of education.

Nationalist Party MPs and members dine at ‘Il-Barri’ after boycott calls

A group of Nationalist Party members, district deputies and MPs, including current leader Bernard Grech and former leader Adrian Delia, went to ‘Il-Barri’ restaurant to dine on some rabbit following the social media controversy.

Some of the group, including Grech and MP Rebekah Borg, posted to social media to show their support to the restaurant and unveil their current eat out.

This comes after a Labour supporter called for a public call for the boycott of the restaurant after the owner of ‘Il-Barri’ was seen at the latest Nationalist Party protest in front of the Maltese parliament.

This isn’t the only time politicians showed support for the restaurant and the owner, with even Foreign Minister Ian Borg posting to social media saying that he cannot wait to dine at the restaurant.
