Ben Camille to host new weekly online show with some VERY special guests

For the first time ever, media personality and X Factor Malta host Ben Camille is about to host his very own online weekly show called GAME ON.

This brand new concept is a sport and entertainment show where Ben will welcome a special guest every week where they will talk about intimate and important issues and discuss sports’ influence in their lives. The will also discuss the highs, lows and challenges they have experienced to get where they are today.

In addition to this, every week Ben Camille’s guest will challenge him to a sport or activity where one winner and one ‘loser’ will emerge, with the loser having to carry out a forfeit challenge.

During the show Ben and the guest will discuss the 3 hottest games of the week which can include matches from the English Premier League, Serie A and local Premier League whilst trying to predict the winners of the matches. Viewers will also be able to play along and be in the chance to win €1,000 in cash every month thanks to Lottoland.

If this online show is right up your alley, GAME ON will air at 8:30pm on Ben Camille’s Facebook page, with the first one airing this coming Friday, 17th September.

Air Malta is bringing back flights to London, Madrid and Moscow in 2022

Travellers and wanderlusts will rejoice at the fact that, as from March 2022, Air Malta is set to resume flights to London Gatwick, Madrid and Moscow Sheremetyevo.

The airline revealed that the Gatwick flights will operate daily while Moscow flights will operate twice a week and Madrid flights three times a week. Air Malta Executive Chairman David G Curmi revealed that this is part of the company’s developing ambitious flight schedule aimed at demonstrating its “belief that travel and tourism will bounce back next year”. Curmi went on to reveal plans to double capacity by next year, starting as soon as the Winter period.

The flights will resume from March 27 2022 and are form part of a 250+ flight schedule to 20 destinations, including 15 flights per week to London Heathrow starting in summer 2022.

Recent claims by PN deputy leader David Agius have sent the Maltese media landscape into a frenzy after claims that the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) is a “propaganda machine” for the Labour Party. The Nationalist Party deputy leader, together with candidate Alessia Psaila Zammit shed light on the fact that while Labour ministers were mentioned 88 times on TVM bulletins between August 1 and September 15, PN officials weren’t a single time.

Agius highlighted how PN proposals and activities were always covered by a journalist’s voice-over and are often mentioned towards the end of the news bulletin, on occasion after international news and adverts. A pie chart published during the conference showed that PL occupied 51% of news coverage, with the other 41% being other news and only 8% of news being related to the Nationalist Party during four days of news coverage on TVM bulletins in September.

A journalist from ONE News argued that the PN is not differentiating between government events and political activities, with Agius replying that one cannot differentiate between ministers and PL officials, while the Constitution of Malta calls for a balance between the government and the opposition.

PN candidate Clifford Zahra Fenech also posted a video arguing that during a recent 8PM TVM news bulletin, soundbites from Labour officials or ministers included three cabinet members and Malta Enterprise CEO Kurt Farrugia, while PN-related news came after international news and included a voiceover from a TVM journalist.

Malta go up 6 places in recent FIFA rankings

Malta have officially climbed 6 places from 177 to 171 in the recent FIFA world rankings. Malta had the second biggest upgrade in ranking only after Libya who gone up 12 place to 110.

This positive news comes because of how great the Maltese National Team have been performing lately. In their last set of matches, they convincingly beat Cyprus (3-0) and narrowly lost to Slovenia (1-0) and Russia (2-0) away from home. These good performances led to the better ranking.

National Team coach Devis Mangia will now be hoping to further impress not only locally but on a continental and global stage. Their next games in October will be a home game against Slovenia and a trip to Cyprus.
