Belgium paid tribute to player Christian Eriksen in the Group B match against Denmark by stopping the play in the 10th minute. Before the kick-off, a huge Eriksen shirt with the number 10 was revealed in support of the player who suffered from a cardiac arrest during the team’s defeat on Saturday.

During the 10th minute, the game was stopped for a huge round of applause all in tribute of the player. Eriksen did confirm that he is now recovering and is ‘fine – under the circumstances.’ It was also confirmed that Eriksen will be fitted with a defibrillator implant which is a necessary device after cardiac arrest due to rhythm disturbances.

The summer heat is seriously affecting all of us… including this cat. The feline had the ingenious idea of seeking a cool shelter from the heat waves in a supermarket fridge.

The cat can be seen walking among the milk cartons and cheeses, completely unbothered by the shoppers. How the cat managed to get in and make its way all the way into the fridge is unknown, but we commend it for its ability to improvise!

Teams could receive fines if they remove sponsored drinks at conferences

Teams could receive fines if they remove sponsored drinks at conferences
Jun 18 2021 Share

Following three players removing branded drinks from in front of them during press conferences, it was announced that teams at Euro 2020 could face fines if their players were to move any sponsored drinks at news conferences. Cristiano Ronaldo removed two Coca Cola bottles on Monday, followed by Pogba who removed Heineken and Italy’s Locatelli who also removed Coca Cola.

However UEFA has reminded participating teams that ‘partnerships are integral to the delivery of the tournament and to ensuring the development of football across Europe’, in a statement on Thursday. Despite understanding situations like Pogba’s, who removed the alcohol due to his religious faith, UEFA pointed out that players were contractually obliged with regulations. Any sanctions are taken at the discretion of the national federations.
