Become The Difference: Start Your Path In Nursing Or Midwifery

Heroes aren’t just found in comic books, in real life, they wear scrubs and dedicate their lives to caring for others. These everyday heroes are the nurses and midwives who guide patients through illness and help welcome new life into the world.

To shine a spotlight on these vital professions and encourage more people to join their ranks, the Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses (MUMN), in collaboration with the Ministry for Health and Active Ageing, has launched the ‘Become a Hero’ campaign.

MUMN’s vision is to primarily safeguard healthcare professionals in their workplace. The union is committed to standing up for the rights, wellbeing, and interests of its members by ensuring they are treated with integrity and respect. MUMN also works to improve working conditions, support professional development, and provide excellent representation and service in an open and democratic way.

With around 5,000 practising nurses across Malta and Gozo, the need for more professionals continues to grow. MUMN plays a crucial role in representing the rights of nurses and midwives, working tirelessly to improve their working environment and wellbeing.
