Ziggy The Little Bat Rescued From Bottom Of A Shaft

Ziggy The Little Bat Rescued From Bottom Of A Shaft
Local

Ziggy the little bat was found at the bottom of a shaft and was successfully rescued by a volunteer who tracked down his mother.

Unfortunately, Ziggy’s mum rejected him and thus he had to be hand-reared and taught how to fly and to eat on his own.

Two months later he was ready to fly off into the wild on his own.

All animals rescued by Nature Trust Malta are protected species that cannot be kept as pets.

Volunteers who raised animals like Ziggy have wildlife handling permits and training as well as specialised equipment to rescue the creatures.

If you spot any such wild animals, please contact the Wildlife Rescue Team on 99999505.
