Żibel Team Rescues Slipper Lobster

An 85-metre ghost net was recently lifted from the sea by Żibel’s Ghost Net Team and with it, an unexpected rescue. Trapped within the tangled mesh was a Slipper Lobster.
Żibel said, “They pulled up a massive 85m ghost net and found a Slipper Lobster completely tangled…head, legs, and tail tied up in the mesh.”
Ghost nets pose a serious threat to marine life, ensnaring animals long after being abandoned, and reducing fish stocks vital to both nature and fishermen.
