Malta Daily can confirm that Nazzareno Bonnici, known as Zaren tal-Ajkla, was the first candidate to submit his candidature for the 2026 general election.
The nomination was presented on the 7th of May, 2026, with the independent candidate set to contest the 3rd and 6th district.
Zaren has been a staple of elections on the island, and always makes a social media wave given his proposals.
