Young Maltese Star Beppe Caruana Heads To Italian Music Festival Finals

Young Maltese singer and actor Beppe Caruana is set to take the international stage after being selected as a finalist in the prestigious Italian children’s music festival, the 68th edition of Zecchino d’Oro. His achievement marks a proud moment for Malta, continuing the island’s legacy at the world’s longest-running children’s song festival.
Beppe will fly to Bologna to perform the original song “Toc Toc” (‘Knock Knock’) alongside Italian co-performer Sofia Bianco. He described the experience as “very precious” and “amazing” and said he felt “really, really happy and proud” to be chosen from thousands of applicants.
As the sole Maltese finalist this year, Beppe carries the island’s flag on an international stage. Malta has a long history with the festival, dating back to 1962 when Raymond Debono won with “La Giacca Rotta”.
The Zecchino d’Oro 2025 final will be broadcast live from Bologna’s Antoniano and aired on TVM on Sunday, 30 November, at 5:20 PM CET.
