“You Write A Song In SongWriting Camp & It Makes It To Eurovision”: Sarah Bonnici

Former Malta Eurovision representative Sarah Bonnici shared a video of her and Aidan as they wrote Bella, which yesterday earned a spot in the finale of Vienna 2026.

“POV: you write a song in a songwriting camp and it makes it to Eurovision”, wrote Sarah as she shared footage of her and Aidan creating the now iconic song.

‘I still remember so clearly the day we wrote Bella. The energy in the room and the synergy between us was something I had never felt before in a session.’

‘We immediately knew there was something very special about Bella - a certain feeling the song gave us, that I kept experiencing every single time I listened back to it.’

‘I couldn’t be happier and prouder of the whole team, especially Aidan, who has consistently carried himself, and the song exceptionally throughout this journey.’

The video goes on to show Bella’s journey through the Malta Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year and it being performed during yesterday’s semifinal.
