Yesterday We Officially Entered The Final Third Of The 2020’s

If you divide the decade’s 120 months evenly into three parts, early, middle and late, each section lasts exactly 40 months.
That means 1st September 2026 mathematically marked the beginning of the late 2020s, a period that will continue until 31st December 2029.
In other words, the early 2020s are now long gone, the middle of the decade is officially behind us, and we have somehow reached the final stretch of a decade that still feels like it only started moments ago.
2020 brought lockdowns, Zoom calls, Tiger King and a world that suddenly looked completely different.
Since then, we have experienced six summers, countless trends, new apps, new slang, new relationships, break-ups, career changes and entire chapters of our lives.
And now 2030, a year that once seemed impossibly futuristic, is just over three years away.
Flying cars? Still waiting.
But one thing is certain: the 2020s are moving at an astonishing speed. So no, 1st September 2026 was not just another day in the calendar.
It marked the official beginning of the final chapter of the 2020s.
