High temperatures are set to take centre stage, with summer in full bloom in the Maltese islands.

The Malta Airport Metoffice warned that the maximum temperature is set to be 33°C, with temperatures potentially feeling up to 35°C.

According to the Malta Inernational Weather Forecast, the weather is expected to be hot and sunny from Monday to Wednesday, with temperatures set to feel like 34°C. Thursday is expected to be hot and sunny, while Friday is set to be mainly sunny, with temperatures on both days expected to feel like 33°C. The weekend is anticipated to be hot and sunny, with temperatures set to feel like 33°C on Saturday before peaking at 35°C on Sunday.

Anyone intending to go to the beach or stay out in the sun during peak hours is encouraged to put on sunscreen, with UV 9 and UV 10 expected.
