As part of new proposals related to transport, Prime Minister Robert Abela announced that as of 2029, all new vehicles used for passenger transport must be electric or hybrid.
This would comprise y-plate vehicles and rental vehicles, meaning that all these forms of transport would have to shift to a more eco-friendly status.
