Xlendi Bay Temporarily Closed Due To Severe Weather Warning

The Emergency Response Rescue Corps have announced that Xlendi Bay will be closed for swimming due to severe weather warnings.
‘This is the second closure this year, and while it is always disappointing to see one of our beautiful bays out of use, we truly appreciate how quickly the authorities are acting to safeguard public health and resolve the underlying issues’, they explained.
Thunderstorms are being forecasted for today and tomorrow, with rain showers extending into the rest of the weekend.
This week saw a storm hitting Malta which led to the flooding of Xlendi, with cars being partially submerged in torrents of water.
