Xjenza Malta is hosting the ESA Industry Days 2026 between 22 and 24 April, in collaboration with the European Space Agency. The event has brought together a wide range of stakeholders with the aim of strengthening international cooperation and building strategic partnerships within the European space sector.

The main conference, held on 23 and 24 April at the The Phoenicia Malta, has attracted delegations from more than nine ESA PECS and Associate Member States. The programme features presentations and discussions focused on key topics relevant to ESA, industry players, and international partners, with particular attention given to cooperating and associate countries. Participants include representatives from government bodies, industry leaders, small and medium sized enterprises, startups, and research institutions.

Nine Maltese private companies took part in the event, underlining the country’s growing involvement in the space sector. Presentations were delivered by companies from Malta as well as Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Cyprus, Croatia, and Bulgaria, showcasing a diverse range of innovation and expertise. The Malta Space Park project was also presented and received positive feedback from the European community.

Keith Azzopardi Tanti highlighted Malta’s commitment to the sector, stating that the event reflects the country’s ambition to strengthen its role in research and economic development. Meanwhile, Omar Cutajar noted that Malta’s National Space Strategy is already delivering results through increased international collaboration.

During the opening session, Jennifer Ngo-Anh emphasised the importance of continued cooperation to build a more connected and innovative European space community.

Alongside the conference, a series of networking events is providing further opportunities for collaboration, access to funding, and continued growth in high value sectors, while reinforcing Malta’s position within the European space landscape.
