Working Parents To Receive Double The Tax Benefit In Budget 2027

Working parents in Malta are set to receive double the tax benefit as part of Budget 2027, Prime Minister Robert Abela announced on Sunday.

Speaking during a political activity at the Orpheum Theatre in Gżira, Abela confirmed that the upcoming Budget will introduce further tax cuts for workers, with additional support specifically aimed at working parents.

According to the Prime Minister, the tax benefit currently provided to working parents will be doubled, allowing eligible families to keep more of their earnings.

The measure forms part of the Government’s efforts to reduce financial pressure on families, particularly at a time when the cost of living remains a concern.

Abela also confirmed that other workers will benefit from another tax cut, although the exact amounts and eligibility details have yet to be announced.

Further information on how these tax reductions will work is expected during Monday’s Budget presentation.

The announcement comes as the Government prepares to present Budget 2027 under the theme Malta Miegħek.
