Work On Gozo General Hospital Helipad Ongoing To Reduce Patient Travel Time

Work is currently ongoing at the Gozo General Hospital helipad so that the extra travel time to the Xewkija helipad can be removed for patients.
As it stands, patients transported from Gozo to Mater Dei via helicopter had to be first transported via ambulance to Xewkija. The ongoing work will reduce the commute time by 10 minutes, which may prove vital for a patient.
The required concrete and cable work, along with other necessary infrastructure, is currently being installed to make this as efficient as possible for patients.
