Woman Rescued By Civil Protection After Requiring Assistance At Imġiebaħ Bay

Yesterday evening, Civil Protection Department rescuers from Stations 3 and 7 responded to a call at Imġiebaħ Bay, were an individual was in need of medical assistance.
A rescue operation was necessary due to the difficult access to the location. Rescuers from Station 3, along with a medical team from Mater Dei’s Hospital Emergency Department, climbed down to reach the casualty.
The woman was fully immobilised before being transported to an accessible area using a CPD land asset.
The casualty was then transferred to hospital for further treatment. Her condition is currently unknown.
