Woman At Risk Of Dying After Mosta Traffic Accident

Yesterday, at around 2215hrs, police were informed that a traffic accident had taken place in Triq il-Missjunarji, Mosta.

Police convened on site and preliminary investigations showed that a crash had taken place between a Toyota Vitz driven by a 50 year old man resident of Ħad-Dingli and another Toyota Vitz driven by a 30 year old Albanian man resident of St Paul’s Bay.

In the first Toyota there was a 48 year old woman resident of Ħad-Dingli and a 14 year old girl whilst in the other there was a 37 year old woman resident of Bormla.

A medical team was called on site as well as Civil Protection Malta officers. They transported all the persons involved to Mater Dei for further care.

Later, the 37 year old woman was confirmed to have sustained serious injuries. The Albanian man and the 14 year old girl were confirmed to have suffered grievous injuries and the rest sustained light injuries.

An inquiry has been opened and investigations are ongoing.
