Wolt Malta Appoints Chris Tanti As General Manager
Wolt Malta announces the appointment of Chris Tanti as its new General Manager, marking a strategic next step in the company’s growth locally and as part of Wolt’s broader international expansion.
Chris brings a wealth of leadership experience from within Wolt, having played key roles in launching new markets and scaling high-growth business verticals.
Before stepping into the General Manager role in Malta, Chris was involved in expanding Wolt’s business into the rapidly growing retail segment, contributing to what has since become one of the fastest-growing verticals company-wide. Today, retail—including grocery, electronics, pet supplies, health and beauty categories—has become an integral part of Wolt’s business and a key growth multiplier, underscoring the company’s evolution into a broader local commerce platform.
Chris also played a central role in the commercial leadership leading up to Wolt’s pre-launch and launch in Kosovo, which is considered one of the most successful launches globally for the company. Today, Wolt’s ecosystem in Kosovo includes over 800 local businesses and more than 400 couriers, supporting jobs and strengthening the local economy.
In 2025, Chris took on broader operational leadership as Interim General Manager for Wolt Czech Republic, overseeing the market at a strategic juncture following his contributions in Kosovo and other regional initiatives. His appointment to this interim post reflected both Wolt’s confidence in his leadership and his ability to manage cross-market operational priorities.
Chris’s career at Wolt builds on a strong foundation in hospitality and commercial operations. He brings 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, where he led pre-opening and turnaround operations for high-volume venues, including staffing, logistics, budgeting and cost control, before joining Wolt. His background also includes scaling multi-site restaurant and events operations, owning commercial performance for events, conferences and MICE segments, and building strong operational frameworks across sales, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination.
As General Manager, Chris will oversee Wolt’s strategic vision in Malta, strengthening partnerships with local restaurants and retail merchants, enhancing service offerings for customers, and continuing to drive innovation in how Wolt supports local commerce and everyday needs.
