‘What Happened In That Room Is Not Justice But Pure Evil’, Says Matthew Caruana Galizia

In a statement on social media, son of assassinated journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, Matthew, said that the verdict which deemed Yorgen Fenech not guilty was obscene.

‘The whole country is in shock’, he said, hoping that the ‘jurors emerge from their cave and realise what they have done.’

‘That they were handed the trigger phone and sent the SMS to blow up my mother all over again. Their decision flies in the face of all evidence, of all logic, of the truth.’

‘Of the accused’s own admission of his guilt. And that verdict can never be accepted no matter what. What happened in that room is not justice but pure evil.’
