Local

Waterspouts have been spotted in Sliema ahead of thundery weather expected this week.

Malta is set for a mixed week of weather, with showers and sunshine taking turns across the islands.

The week begins wet, as isolated showers are expected on both Monday and Tuesday, with highs reaching 24°C to 25°C and lows dipping to around 17°C to 18°C.

Conditions will improve slightly by Wednesday, bringing partly cloudy skies and pleasant temperatures hovering near 25°C.

However, the respite will be brief. Thursday looks set to bring another round of isolated showers, though it will feel warmer at 26°C.

By Friday, the weather is expected to stabilise once again, ending the week on a partly cloudy note with highs of 25°C.

Overall, this week promises mild temperatures and moderate UV levels, but with interruptions from thundery showers, so keeping an umbrella handy wouldn’t be a bad idea.
