In Messina, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola spoke about Malta’s historic solidarity with the people of Messina following the devastating 1908 earthquake.
During her speech, Metsola also paid tribute to journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia and members of the Sicilian judiciary who lost their lives pursuing the truth, underlining the importance of justice and press freedom
