Watch: Little Hedgehog Rescued After Getting Stuck On Glue Trap

Nature Trust shared video of a little hedgehog receiving help after it got stuck to a glue trap, which is a very dangerous situation for any wild animal.

Thankfully, the right help came at the right moment, after MINT Health and Mipledge Veterinary donated a sample of Eaze-Off adhesive remover to the wildlife team.

This was the first opportunity they had to put it to use, but it is still a slow and careful process. The donated spare helps loosen the adhesive and allowed the hedgehog to be freed much quicker than usual.

Despite the success, the team urged citizens not to attempt such rescues themselves, even with safe products. Removing wildlife from glue traps requires appropriate knowledge and handling.

‘Pulling, peeling or attempting to release an animal incorrectly can cause serious injuries to skin, fur, feathers of limbs.’
