While removing ghost nets from the sea, divers stumbled upon the torpedo and chose to abandon the clean-up until the area was declared safe. Today, they returned to assist the Armed Forces of Malta find and remove the bomb, before continuing their efforts to clear nets in Ċirkewwa.
Coast is Clear representative Mark Galea Pace shared the feat on social media, thanking the divers and organisations that helped make the clean-up possible.
