350 two-course meals were successfully delivered to to 120 different addresses across Malta, thanks to Il-Kċina ta’ Marta, along with 220 volunteers from the Archdiocese of Malta’s Volunteer Office.

A dessert and a Christmas gift for children were also included for each household.

Dedicated volunteers kindly hand-delivered each meal to people’s homes, reaching those who were unable to attend the traditional Christmas meal at the Curia due to mobility issues, health conditions, or other challenges.

For many recipients, the volunteers were the only visitors they had that day, bringing not just food, but also companionship, dignity, and heartfelt Christmas wishes.

Volunteers shared powerful experiences from the day. They had to locate homes where the incorrect address was provided, and in one instance, needing to call for medical assistance for someone who needed care.

Il-Kċina ta’ Marta, part of the Archdiocese’s Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FOSAM), provides over 500 meals weekly, reflecting the Church’s mission to support the most vulnerable, especially at Christmas, when no one should feel forgotten or alone.
