Viral DJ Padre Guilherme Visits Churches Ahead Of His Malta Show Tomorrow

Famous DJ priest Padre Guilherme has landed in Malta ahead of his performance at Għaxaq Music Festival tomorrow, Friday 24th July 2026.

Ahead of his performance, he visited some local churches around the islands, noting their architecture and unique place in Maltese culture.

Known worldwide as the “DJ Priest”, Padre Guilherme has gained international recognition for blending electronic music with messages of hope, unity and spirituality.

The Portuguese priest rose to global fame during World Youth Day in Lisbon in 2023, where he performed before a crowd of more than one million people.

His appearance at the festival will mark his first-ever live performance in Malta, bringing one of the world's most distinctive electronic music acts to local audiences.

Joining him on stage will be UK trance duo POU – Product of Us, alongside Maltese artists JJoy, Mux and Braynod.

The event forms part of the celebrations marking the 400th anniversary of the establishment of the Parish of Ħal Għaxaq, combining centuries of tradition with a modern musical experience.
