Vigil Held For Young Police Officer Murdered Outside Parents' Home In 1999

Today, officers from the Malta Police Force paused together in Tarxien in honour of the late Mark Farrugia, a police constable murdered outside his parents’ home’s doorstep.
On the 27th anniversary of his passing, officers were joined by Mark’s parents to pay their respects.
PC Farrugia had just returned home from a night shift on the 20th of March 1999, when he was murdered.
‘We honour his legacy. We remember his dedication. We will never forget’, wrote the police force.
