Veteran Actor & TV Announcer Mary Grech passes away aged 88

Malta is mourning the loss of renowned actor and TV presenter Mary Grech, who has passed away at the age of 88.

In a heartfelt facebook post, her son Josef N. Grech expressed his sadness in view of his mother's loss, highlighting that "the time has come for us to part and for you to join Papa in heaven," paying homage to his late father and also well known actor who died aged 96 in January 2023.

Mary and Victor Grech also acted together in the 1990s telenovela "Ipokriti," with both of Josef's parents sharing valuable time together in both their personal and professional lives.

Josef underlined a challenging end to his mother's life, remarking how "the last three years have not been easy on you, but we faced them together, and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to be by your side every step of the way," expressing the heartfelt gratitude for having the privilege to spend the last years of his mother's life by her side.

Funeral arrangements are to be announced shortly, giving Mary Grech the celebration of life that her personal life and professional career truly deserve.
