VALLETTA WATERFRONT LAUNCHES FREE WEEKLY THEATRICAL SHOW CELEBRATING MALTA'S MARITIME HERITAGE

Valletta Waterfront has unveiled a brand-new weekly cultural attraction, inviting locals and visitors alike to experience Malta's rich maritime heritage through theatre, humour and fantasy.

Taking place every Tuesday at 7:30pm, Cagliostro & The Pirate Queen – The Secret Story of Malta transforms the historic waterfront into an open-air stage with a free 20-minute live performance.

Rather than recreating specific historical events, the production weaves a fictional tale into the rich tapestry of Malta's real and colourful past. Drawing on legends of knights, pirates, alchemists and seafarers, the show blends witty dialogue, engaging storytelling and theatrical flair to celebrate moments that shaped Malta’s history and bring to life the stories history never recorded.

Produced by Ronald Briffa, written by Sean Buhagiar and performed by Jeremy Grech, Analise Mifsud and Sean Briffa, the performance centres around the mysterious Count Alessandro Cagliostro, the fearless Pirate Queen and the intriguing Pasha.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Grand Harbour, the production combines period costumes, comic flair, music and live theatre to create an immersive experience suitable for all ages.

Designed for both tourists and locals, the show offers a unique and engaging way to explore Malta's rich heritage through an immersive and captive experience before enjoying dinner or drinks at one of Valletta Waterfront's many restaurants and bars.

By blending history with imagination, and education with entertainment, the weekly performances further strengthen Valletta Waterfront's role as one of Malta's leading cultural destinations.
