Valletta's Christmas Lights Will Officially Be Switched On On 25th November!

It's almost the most wonderful time of the year, and Malta's capital is getting ready to light up for Christmas!

Valletta will officially switch on its Christmas lights on Wednesday, 25th November, marking the beginning of this year's Christmas in the Capital celebrations.

And there's something new to look forward to!

This year, the capital will feature brand-new Christmas light designs across some of Valletta's most popular streets, including Republic Street, South Street and Merchants Street.

The celebrations will also include the official lighting of Valletta's Christmas tree, bringing festive cheer to the heart of the capital.

Organised by the Valletta Cultural Agency, Christmas in the Capital 2026 will run for over a month, with plenty of activities and entertainment planned throughout the festive season.
