This year’s Valletta NYE Celebration is set to be bigger and more spectacular than ever!

With a dazzling firework display, a high-energy musical lineup, and dynamic DJ sets, this year’s festivities promise to reach an unforgettable high.

Owen Bonnici, Minister for Culture, together with Jason Micallef, Valletta Cultural Agency Chairman, unveiled the event’s details during a press conference earlier today.

Organised by the Valletta Cultural Agency and G7 Events, the night will be hosted by Jamie Cardona, Taryn Mamo Cefai, and Ron Briffa.

Glen Vella and his band will open the celebration, setting the tone for an incredible night.

They’ll be followed by the Palace String Orchestra, performing alongside a stream of beloved local artists.

Aidan Drakard, Denise, Gaia, Karin Duff, Keith Zammit Mintoff, and Klinsmann promise to present a night of timeless classics and great music.

Later in the night, DJs Denzel Jo Armani and Wayne will elevate the energy with electrifying sets guaranteed to get everyone dancing.

An immersive audiovisual countdown will guide everyone into the new year. Simultaneously, the largest firework display Malta has ever seen in the Grand Harbour will take place, brought to life through a collaboration between 16 firework factories.

The peak of the night arrives as international artist John Newman takes the stage right at midnight. Newman is globally known for his smash hit “Love Me Again” and for his chart-topping collaborations with superstar producer Calvin Harris.

DJ Gabii will close off the night with a final burst of energy, ensuring the first hours of 2026 are truly unforgettable.

“There isn’t a nicer way of bringing on the new year as the Maltese and Gozitan population than with culture,” stated Minister Owen Bonnici, “With music, with this spectacle, and the nicest thing in my opinion is that we’re doing it in our country’s capital city.”

The Valletta NYE Celebration 2026 promises a night of joy, excitement, and memories that will stay with you throughout the new year, and long after that.
