Valletta Local Food Festival Returns For 5th Edition This Weekend!

The Valletta Local Food Festival is set to return for its fifth edition, transforming St George’s Square in Valletta into a lively showcase of Maltese culinary traditions.

The event will bring together food, culture and entertainment in a vibrant setting that celebrates the island’s rich gastronomic heritage.

Organised by the Valletta Cultural Agency in collaboration with the Malta Food Agency, the festival has become a popular highlight in Malta’s cultural calendar.

It offers visitors the opportunity to explore a wide range of local produce and traditional delicacies, all prepared and presented by some of the country’s most talented chefs, food artisans and producers.

Guests will be able to sample artisan cheeses, chutneys, pastries, sweets, delicatessen specialities and locally crafted beverages.

The festival also places strong emphasis on preserving Malta’s culinary traditions by showcasing treasured recipes and ingredients passed down through generations, ensuring that this heritage continues to be appreciated by future audiences.

The Valletta Local Food Festival will take place from 3 to 5 July 2026, with opening hours from 7.00 pm until midnight each evening at St George’s Square.
