Valletta Lights Up For Second Edition Of The Malta Biennale

The second edition of the Malta Biennale is taking place this year, curated by international talent Rosa Martinez who is acting as both curator and artistic director.

The project started on the 11th of March and is set to continue till the 29th of May, following the theme “Clean | Clear | Cut.”

An installation is currently lighting up the streets of Valletta, with fixtures hanging for everyone to enjoy.

The Valletta Cultural Agency shared images of the installation on their social media, stating “The Valletta Cultural Agency is proud to be part of the second edition of the Malta Biennale, led by acclaimed international curator Rosa Martinez as artistic director.”

“A dynamic platform for contemporary art, the Malta Biennale explores themes that resonate deeply across the Mediterranean,” they continued.

In 2024, the first edition of the Malta Biennale took place, with over 100 artists from 35 different nations coming together for the project.
