Valletta Immediately Cleaned Up After NYE Celebrations

Valletta was cleaned up immediately following the New Year’s Eve celebrations, despite challenging weather conditions marked by strong winds and rain. Cleaning operations began straight after the festivities, ensuring that the capital was restored to order in the early hours of the morning.

Credit was given to Clean Malta, the Cleansing and Maintenance Division, its dedicated workers, and Director General Ramon Deguara for their efficient and uninterrupted work. Despite the celebrations, bad weather, and the start of a new year, workers remained on duty throughout the night.

While many were spending the first hours of 2026 with their families, employees from the Cleansing and Maintenance Division worked tirelessly to ensure that areas where mass activities were held were once again clean by morning. Their dedication and commitment played a key role in maintaining cleanliness and order across the city.
