Urgent Appeal Issued For 100 Units Of O Positive Blood Today

The National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) Malta has issued an urgent appeal for 100 units of O Positive blood.
‘If you have O Positive blood, we are asking you to make donating blood a priority TODAY. We urgently need your help’, the NBTS explained.
‘Your blood is urgently needed for patients requiring operations, cancer treatment, haematology care, thalassaemia treatment, as well as medical emergencies where a patient's life may be at risk.’
Visit the Blood Donation Centre in Gwardamanġa, which is open until 6pm, to donate blood.
A free transport service is also on offer, which you can set up by calling on 2206 6201. Every eligible donor can make a huge difference.
