University Of Malta Is Offering 931 Courses This Academic Year

Students at the University of Malta can choose from a total of 931 courses during the 2026/27 academic year, covering a wide range of subjects and levels.
The figure comes as more than 13,000 students begin or continue their studies at the university this year.
Among the more than 5,500 new students, over 2,500 are starting undergraduate courses, while more than 2,200 will be following postgraduate studies.
The university’s course offering spans traditional areas such as law, medicine, engineering, business and the humanities, alongside more specialised and emerging fields.
Students can also study through shorter and more flexible options, with around 500 visiting students registered for micro-credentials this year.
The increasingly broad course offering also comes as the university becomes more international, with around 2,000 international students from 130 countries studying in Malta this academic year.
Around 350 Erasmus students will also join the university community.
Lectures for continuing students began on 28th September, while first-year students are due to start on 8th October.
With almost 1,000 courses available, choosing what to study might be one of the hardest decisions of Freshers’ Week.
