Ukraine Solidarity Walk In Valletta 4 Years Since Start Of Invasion

A Silent Walk of Solidarity with Ukraine was held yesterday in Valletta to mark four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of the country.
‘Since 2022, this date has become a symbol of pain and loss, but also of resilience. For four years, Ukraine has been resisting aggression, defending not only its territory but also the fundamental values of freedom, dignity, and the right to life’, the Ukrainian Community of Malta explained.
The walk paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the conflict, with official data showing thousands of children having been impacted - whether killed, injured, deported or reported missing.
‘Behind every number is a childhood disrupted and a human life profoundly impacted. This event was dedicated to every Ukrainian: to children, prisoners of war, families of the fallen, people living in temporarily occupied territories, and those enduring the war without basic necessities.’
‘As long as we remember and stand together, Ukraine stands. A war in the centre of Europe cannot become background noise. It requires a common position and continued action.’
