Two Residents Treated For Smoke Inhalation After House Fire in Lija

Two residents were treated for smoke inhalation and shock following a house fire in Lija on Monday morning.
Firefighters from Fire Station 2 were called to a residence after a fire broke out inside the property. Upon arrival, crews located the blaze in the kitchen and quickly brought it under control.
Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters carried out ventilation operations to clear the residence of smoke and make the property safe.
Two residents were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and shock. Both were subsequently discharged on site.
The Civil Protection Department thanked the Emergency Department at Mater Dei Hospital, Malta Police Force officers from the 3rd Police District and LESA officials for their assistance during the operation.
The circumstances surrounding the fire were not disclosed.
