Two Puppies Rescued As Police Stopped Vehicles Speeding In Żebbuġ

This morning, the Malta Police Force were conducting routine road checks in Triq l-Imdina, Żebbuġ.
During the inspections, officers found vehicles being driven at excessive speed, leading to contraventions being issued for various traffic offences.
During this work, the police noticed two puppies running in the middle of the road in a dangerous situation due to the speeding vehicles.
With the assistance of a passing driver, the puppies were safely removed from the road.
Officers from the Animal Welfare Directorate were called to site and confirmed that the puppies were not microchipped. The puppies were therefore taken into their care.
