Two Police & Off-Duty CPD Officer Save Unconscious Person In Ħaż-Żebbuġ

Yesterday, Malta Police Force Rapid Intervention Unit officers were approached in Ħaż-Żebbuġ and informed that a person was lying unconscious on the ground.

The officers located the person and started administering CPR. An off-duty Civil Protection Department officer also assisted the officers on site until the medical team arrived.

Once it arrived, the officers aided with managing traffic and ensuring road safety as care was provided.

Before the person was conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital, the officers were informed that the person had started breathing again.

The Malta Police Force also received a message of appreciation from an A&E doctor, who commended the RIU team for their swift action, stating that they “gave him a fighting chance”.
